Glow
I wanted to use my new PLA Glow filament to print a ghost, but learned that the glow material is bit notorious for slowly degrading the hardware. When I added it to the AMS 2 Pro, I got a warning saying it should be used from an external feed. Naively I assumed that simply meant "not the AMS 2 Pro" but then got the same error from the AMS HT. So, I did a little more research and watched a couple videos...

My takeaway was that the extra ingredients for the glow effect are particularly hard and abrasive, so, over time, it degrades and will accumulate along the tubing, heating cavity, and hotend tip. It also seemed like people were opinionated on both sides of whether it actually matters. I decided I would definitely avoid running it through the AMS hardware, and, if I started printing with a lot of glow, then I would be more particular about how I feed it, too.
I had never used (or even attached) the external feed before, so I went ahead and attached it to the main printer body and added the spool to it. I was going to try directly feeding it to the extruder/nozzle, but I had trouble getting the PTFE tube released from the motor carriage. Instead, I cheated a bit and just reused the tube between the AMS 2 Pro and Filament Buffer.
I used the Bambu Lab PLA Glow (Glow Green), and it turned out really well. The filament really does keep a bit of a glow to it in the dark.

This was my first time manually loading filament. It was fairly easy to push the filament in, but it ended up requiring a lot of force to back it out once it was done. Afterwards, I printed a couple other small things with basic PLA to try and flush out any of the remaining, still-warm abrasive materials.
